How to stop anxiety
Today more than ever people are struggling to see how to stop anxiety. But, shame can stop you from getting the help you need.
If friends know about your anxiety issues they may try to understand. But, at the back of their minds they may still hope that you just “get over it”. They don’t know that while you are out at dinner all you could can think about is your fear that there will be something disgusting in your food.
They see your forced smile but they don’t see the endless racing thoughts you are trying to ignore. They don’t know that all you could really want to do is run and hide.
They are not aware that when you wake up you dread getting out of bed because there seems to be nothing to look forward to.
They could not imagine how much you dislike yourself for feeling weak.
